Exil des idoles is a spoken word poetry album in French language, the first collaboration between composer Jean-Sully Ledermann and author Shaomi.
In 45 minutes and seven tracks, Exil des idoles explores the theme of unfulfilled desires. Carried by Jean-Sully Ledermann's spellbinding sonic textures, Shaomi's poetry unveils the darkest corners of the human soul, from frustration and conflict to resolution.
Trained in jazz and classical music, Jean-Sully Ledermann discovered electronic music in the late 90's. Since then, he's released 35 solo and collaborative albums and composed several performance soundtracks. He's also a director, a scriptwriter, a novelist and an actor. He lives and works near Paris.
